Mapping The World - A World Of Forests

Description

We have been overexploiting our forests for centuries. 40% of global deforestation is attributable to four sectors: palm oil, wood and paper products, soybeans and cattle breeding.
Yet nowadays, there is a growing awareness that forests must be protected as a precious asset. Therefore, while deforestation continues in some parts of the world, in others, forests are being protected and replanted, particularly to promote biodiversity and "carbon sinks ". Mapping the World takes you out for an invigorating stroll in the world's forests.
